How to Measure

Please be sure to validate your complete coverage area and confirm how many kits you will need before starting your project. Visit rustoleum.ca to see several kitchen layouts and examples of how to measure your kitchen.

Linear Feet
  • Measure the length of your top and bottom cabinets A + B + C + D = linear meters.
  • Each kit includes enough coating to cover 12.19 linear meters (40 ft.) of cabinetry with 2 exterior coats & 2 coats on the interior of each door and drawer face. Linear meters based on average height of standard wall and base cabinets being no more than 87.6 cm (34.5 in.).

Square Feet
  • Measure the length of your top cabinets (A + B) in centimeters and multiply by the height (E) Standard wall cabinet heights are: 30.5 - 45.7cm and 76 - 106.6cm (12-18 in and 30-42 in.).
  • Measure the length of your bottom cabinets in centimeters (C + D) and multiply by the height (F) Standard base cabinet height is 87.6 cm (34.5 in.).
  • Add these two totals together and divide by 10,000 to determine the total square meters (144 for sq. ft.) you will need to cover. Each kit includes enough coating to cover 9.29 m2 (100 sq. ft.) of cabinetry with 2 exterior coats & 2 coats on the interior of each door and drawer face.
  • This measurement excludes the inside of all cabinet frames.
